Bridgeth & Wilson's Wedding

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to be an additional wedding photographer for Bridgeth and Wilson's wedding. It was my first time photographing a wedding and I was excited and nervous. I was fortunate to be alongside Arthur St. John, the primary photographer who "showed me the ropes" and taught me some valuable lessons when it came to shooting weddings. It was a long day but I've been bitten by the bug and am looking forward to shooting more weddings in the future.

Bridgeth and Wilson are one sweet couple. They originally met in high school, but were just friends at the time. They parted ways afterwards but somehow their paths crossed again and here they are taking the leap into marriage.

The day started off at the bride's parents' home where Bridgeth and rest of her bridal party were getting ready.

The ceremony took place at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Los Angeles...

Afterwards, we headed to La Palapa Del Mar in Long Beach and took some beach shots with the bride and groom and their bridal party.

Awesome wedding, awesome couple. Hope to do it again soon!

Melissa & Johnny's Engagement pics

The setting was Griffith Park Observatory for Melissa & Johnny's engagement photos. I finally met them in person and what a cute couple they are. They brought along their newborn, Luke, so we turned it into an engagement/family shoot. I'll be posting the family photos in the near future. I was hoping for a clear day to get some nice backdrops of the city, but it was smoggier than usual. That didn't dampen their spirits. Here are some favorites...

Roland & Riqui-Joy's Engagement Photos

I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session with Riqui-Joy and Roland a few weekends ago. For me, engagement sessions are probably one of my favorite types of sessions to shoot. I get the opportunity to shoot couples in love who are about to take the leap into marriage. And being able to capture that in pictures is not only fun, but an honor for me. Riqui-Joy and Roland definitely exude love for one another. Since this was our first time meeting, they were timid at first but easily became comfortable in front of the camera.
Our session started at Pasadena City Hall. Afterwards we headed to nearby Colorado Street Bridge (aka Suicide Bridge). These two were game for anything, even putting their lives in danger to get some awesome street shots at the Colorado Street Bridge. Here are some of my favorites from our session.
